Service Area
Our pool service area covers south Charlotte, Ballantyne, Matthews, Stallings, Weddington, Wesley Chapel, Marvin, Waxhaw, Fort Mill and Indian Land. One owner-led crew, the same route every week.

Our Pool Service Area Covers South Charlotte and the Towns Around It
Ten towns, two states, one route from our base off Carmel Road.
Damon’s Pool Care works out of south Charlotte, near Carmel Road and Pineville-Matthews Road. Our route fans out from there to the places most of our customers live. Inside Charlotte that means SouthPark, Myers Park, Quail Hollow, Carmel, Providence Plantation, Piper Glen and Ballantyne. East of the city it means Matthews and Stallings. South it means Weddington, Wesley Chapel, Marvin and Waxhaw in Union County. Across the state line it means Fort Mill and Indian Land. If your pool sits in one of those towns, you are in our pool service area. We can put you on the schedule.
Every service we offer travels with us. Weekly pool service, filter and tile cleaning, and pump, heater and filter repairs ride on the same truck. So do new equipment installs, green pool recovery and sand changes. You get the same owner-led crew whether your pool is in Dilworth or in Sun City Carolina Lakes.
Keeping the area this tight is a choice. The route stays within about 30 minutes of base. That means your service day holds and the crew knows your pool. A repair call does not wait a week for a drive. It also means we know the water. Charlotte, Union County and the Fort Mill area all pull from the Catawba River basin. That soft fill water shapes how every pool here gets balanced. Not sure you are covered? Call (980) 998-3777 or request a quote with your address. We will tell you straight.

Where Damon's Pool Care Works
The zip codes and counties on our weekly route.
Our pool service area is built around where the truck can be on a reliable day each week. Mecklenburg County is the core. That covers south Charlotte zip codes 28209, 28210, 28211, 28226, 28270 and 28277, plus Matthews in 28105. Union County is next: Stallings, Weddington and Wesley Chapel in 28104, and Marvin and Waxhaw in 28173. South Carolina rounds it out. Fort Mill is 29708 and 29715, and Indian Land is 29707. That is ten towns across four counties and two states. All of it sits within a short drive of our base in 28226.
We do get calls from Mint Hill, Pineville, Huntersville and Lake Wylie. Some of those we can fit in. It depends on where the pool is and which day the route passes nearby. If you are on the edge of the map, ask. The answer is a quick yes or an honest no. When it is no, we will tell you who else to call rather than take a pool we cannot show up for.
South Charlotte and Ballantyne
Older in-town pools, 1990s country club pools and HOA neighborhoods.
South Charlotte has the widest mix of pools in our service area. Myers Park, Eastover and Dilworth have in-ground pools that go back decades. Many are plaster or pebble with original plumbing and single-speed pumps. The willow oaks on those streets drop small leaves from October into December. They end up in skimmers and on the bottom. SouthPark, Quail Hollow and Carmel are a step newer. Providence Plantation, Piper Glen, Raintree and Ballantyne Country Club were built out from the late 1980s through the 2000s. A lot of those pools are hitting the age where the heater, filter and pump come due at once.
Ballantyne in 28277 is almost all HOA neighborhoods. Backyard pools there tend to be mid-sized gunite with attached spas. The neighborhoods are dense enough that we can run a tight loop on one service day. Charlotte Water supplies all of these homes, and it is soft. The latest report puts calcium hardness near 25 ppm and alkalinity around 21 ppm at the tap. Every fill and every topped-off pool needs calcium and bicarbonate added. Without them the water goes after plaster and heater metal. That is standard practice on every pool we balance in Charlotte.
What south Charlotte pools ask for most is steady pool cleaning through pollen season and storm season. The other big request is equipment replacement when a 20-year-old pad finally gives out. We handle both. We quote replacement next to repair so you can see which one makes sense.
Matthews and Stallings
Suburban pools off Highway 74 and I-485, mostly 1990s to new construction.
Matthews sits just east of our base and is one of the easier stops on the route. The town straddles Mecklenburg and Union counties, so a Matthews address can be in 28105 or 28104. Pools here range from established neighborhoods along Sardis Road and Weddington Road to newer subdivisions off Highway 74. Stallings has grown fast. Many of its pools went in during the last 15 years with cartridge filters, salt systems and variable-speed pumps already on the pad.
Newer does not mean maintenance-free. Salt cells still need inspection and cleaning. Cartridge filters still clog with pollen every spring. Automation panels still lose relays. Builders favored salt pools in that stretch of years, so salt system service is a common request in Stallings and Matthews. On the water side, Matthews homes are on Charlotte Water and Stallings homes are on Union County Water. Both draw from the Catawba River and both are soft. The fill-water chemistry is the same story as south Charlotte: add calcium, add alkalinity, watch the pH.
Matthews and Stallings pools also catch the full force of Union County summer storms. Red clay runoff and lawn fertilizer wash into pools that sit below a sloped yard. Fertilizer brings the phosphates that feed algae. That is why our weekly visits here lean on brushing and a filter check. It is also why green pool calls from this corridor pick up in July.
Weddington, Wesley Chapel, Marvin and Waxhaw
Bigger lots, custom pools, and a mix of county water and private wells.
Head south on Providence Road and the lots get bigger. Weddington, Wesley Chapel and Marvin are known for one-acre and larger properties. The pools are custom gunite, often with outdoor kitchens and attached spas. Waxhaw has an older downtown and a wave of newer neighborhoods like Millbridge, Lawson and Cureton where pools went in with the houses. Pools here were built with spas and automation from the start, so those systems make up a bigger share of the service calls.
Water is the thing to know about out here. Union County Water serves the subdivisions. Its source is the Catawba River Water Supply Project, which reports hardness around 18 to 28 ppm and alkalinity around 19 to 32 ppm. Soft, like Charlotte.
But a good share of homes on larger lots in Weddington, Marvin and rural Waxhaw are on private wells. Well water in this region often carries iron and manganese. The state’s own guidance notes that iron shows up in wells across North Carolina at levels high enough to stain. In a pool, that means brown or rust-colored marks on plaster and steps after a fill or a long top-off. It also means water that turns tea-colored when it is shocked. We test fill water from wells before we balance it. When metals are present we add a sequestering agent and keep the pH from climbing. That holds the metals in solution instead of letting them drop out on the finish.
The other difference is tree cover. Many Weddington and Marvin pools sit under mature hardwoods and pines. That means heavier spring pollen, more leaf load in the fall, and more debris after a storm. A weekly visit here spends more time on the net and the brush than a Ballantyne visit does. We size the service to match the yard.
Fort Mill and Indian Land, SC
Across the state line, same crew, same water source, no extra fuss.
Both towns are a short run down Highway 521 or I-77 from our base. We treat them like any other stop on the route. In Fort Mill (29708 and 29715) that includes Baxter Village, Springfield and the neighborhoods along Gold Hill Road, plus the lakeside homes toward Tega Cay. Indian Land (29707) is anchored by Sun City Carolina Lakes, a large 55-and-over community. A lot of owners there want a company handling the pool so they do not have to. Newer neighborhoods like Walnut Creek and Bridgemill along the 521 corridor round it out.
The water here is familiar. The Town of Fort Mill buys its drinking water from the City of Rock Hill. Rock Hill draws from Lake Wylie and the Catawba River and reports hardness in the 18 to 35 ppm range. Indian Land is served by the Lancaster County Water and Sewer District, which draws on the same Catawba River project that supplies Union County. In other words, every pool in our service area starts with soft Catawba basin water. Every one of them needs calcium and alkalinity built up before the chemistry will hold.
Working across the state line does not change the service. The same crew does the same visit. Repairs and installs are quoted the same way. Some Charlotte companies will tell a Fort Mill or Indian Land owner they are out of range. You are not out of ours.
Why a Tight Pool Service Area Is Better for Your Pool
Route density is what makes a service day hold.
A pool company that takes any address within 50 miles ends up with a route that cannot keep its promises. Service days slip. A different tech shows up each week. A repair call waits until the truck is “in the area.” We keep our pool service area to about a 30-minute radius of south Charlotte on purpose. The crew that cleans your pool is the crew that knows it. When a pump quits on a Tuesday, the drive to look at it is short.
It also means the person working on your pool knows the conditions. Catawba basin fill water, the April pollen wave, July storm runoff and December leaf drop are the same across all ten towns. So are the handful of hard freezes each winter. That is a narrow enough set of problems to get very good at. Owner Damon has spent more than ten years on pools in this exact area. The reviews keep saying the same things: he shows up, he tells you what the pool actually needs, and the water stays clear.
Not Sure If You Are in Our Pool Service Area?
Send the address. We will answer the same day.
The fastest way to find out is to call (980) 998-3777 with your address. You can also request a quote and put the address in the form. If you are inside the ten towns above, we will tell you which day the route passes. We will also lay out what a weekly visit, a repair or an install would look like. If you are on the edge, we will say so. If we cannot cover you, we will point you to someone who can. Healthy water is the goal either way. The CDC’s healthy swimming guidance is a good read for any owner, in or out of our area.
Service Area Questions From Charlotte-Area Pool Owners
The questions we hear most from people checking whether their pool is on our route.
We serve south Charlotte, including SouthPark, Myers Park, Carmel, Providence Plantation, Piper Glen and Ballantyne. We also serve Matthews, Stallings, Weddington, Wesley Chapel, Marvin and Waxhaw in North Carolina, plus Fort Mill and Indian Land in South Carolina. The Charlotte zip codes are 28209, 28210, 28211, 28226, 28270 and 28277. That covers Mecklenburg and Union counties and York and Lancaster counties across the line.
Yes. Fort Mill and Indian Land are regular stops on our weekly route. That includes Baxter Village, the Tega Cay side of Fort Mill and Sun City Carolina Lakes. Crossing the state line does not change the price, the crew or the visit. The water in both towns comes from the Catawba River system, the same as Charlotte, so the chemistry we run is the same too.
Our route stays within roughly 30 minutes of our base in south Charlotte near Carmel Road. That is the ten towns listed on this page. We sometimes take pools just outside that ring in Mint Hill, Pineville or near Lake Wylie when they fit a service day. We would rather tell you no than sign up a pool we cannot reach on schedule.
No. Every town inside our pool service area is quoted the same way for weekly service, repairs and installs. Travel is built into how we run the route, not added as a line item. If a pool is outside the area and we agree to take it, we will say up front whether that changes anything. You will know before any work starts.
Usually, if you are inside the service area. Weekly service starts on the next route day that passes your neighborhood, which is typically within a week. Repair visits are scheduled around the route as well. Green pool cleanups and equipment installs take a little more planning. Call early in the week and we will give you a real date rather than a guess.
It changes the fill water, not the service. Well water in this region often carries iron and manganese. Those metals can stain plaster brown or rust-colored and turn the water tea-colored after a shock. We test well water before balancing, add a sequestering agent when metals show up, and keep pH in range so the metals stay dissolved. Weekly visits and repairs are otherwise the same as on county water.
We do. Our base is in south Charlotte, and Fort Mill is about 20 minutes down I-77 or Highway 521. It sits comfortably inside the route. Owners who move between the two states, or who have family on both sides of the line, use us for exactly that reason. One company, one number, the same crew on both sides.
Our work is residential backyard pools and attached spas. We do not run commercial or HOA community pools, which carry different health code and staffing requirements. If you are a Ballantyne homeowner with a private pool, you are squarely in our area. If you manage a neighborhood pool, we can point you toward companies that handle commercial accounts.
Mint Hill and Pineville are on the edge of our route, and we can sometimes fit them in. Huntersville, Cornelius and the north side of Charlotte are outside the area. We do not take pools there. Lake Wylie homes on the Fort Mill and Tega Cay side are often reachable. Call with the address and we will give you a straight answer.
It depends on where you are. The route is grouped by town so the crew is not crossing the county twice in a day. South Charlotte and Ballantyne, Matthews and Stallings, the Union County towns, and Fort Mill and Indian Land each have their own service days. When you sign up we tell you your day and keep it. If weather pushes a visit, we let you know ahead of time.
